Description

Product description

Blue Hills Meadow Honey is a premium honey harvested from the fertile farmlands and meadows bordering the pristine Tarkine wilderness, an area celebrated as “the food bowl of Australia.” This region is renowned for its skilled farmers who are deeply committed to sustainable land management. The bees that produce this honey gather nectar from clover and a variety of other flowers thriving in these carefully tended meadows, as well as from the vibrant wildflowers that flourish along the edges of fields and near small, clear streams.

The result is a honey with a mild, delicate flavor profile that has won widespread popularity. Blue Hills Meadow Honey captures the essence of the landscape from which it originates, offering a taste of the natural beauty and rich biodiversity of the Tarkine. Whether enjoyed on its own, drizzled over breakfast, or used as a sweetener in your favorite recipes, this honey is a testament to the harmonious relationship between nature and agriculture in one of Australia’s most bountiful regions.

Are there any impurities in your honey and what are the specs?

During the extraction process of the honey there are not a lot of impurities. The natural beeswax is removed by a wax centrifuge. From here the honey is coarse filtered (1000 micron) andthen the raw honey settles in a closed vat overnight. We then place the raw honey in the 300kg drums for storage. The honey is only harvested in Tasmania in the months of January, February and March. When required we melt the honey (always below 45°C). The honey then goes through a 300 micron filter to a hold-ing vat for packing. This is regarded as a coarse filtering and you will still see the occasional propolis spec in thehoney. To filter finer would remove the natural pollen and we feel change the flavour and structure of the honey(not a natural honey). The ginseng may add some particles from the raw Ginseng.

Note: Jar of each variety , plastic spoons (separate spoon for each tasting and not wooden as it changes the taste of the honey), disposal bin for used spoons, napkins (for client), surfaceantiseptic for bench and demonstrators hands as there are usually honey spills.
