About Us

Founded in 1894 in Marseille, the Savonnerie du Midi is one of the city's last historical soap factories preserving traditional Marseille soap-making methods. Located in the Aygalades district, the factory was moved there post-World War II and continues to produce soap using the classic cauldron method, with about 300 tonnes made monthly—80% of which is exported.

Acquired by the PRODEF family business in 2013, which has been active in hygiene and cleaning products since 1924, the Savonnerie du Midi benefits from PRODEF's commitment to ecological and organic products. The factory has undergone significant renovations to modernize its facilities and is recognized as an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) for its craftsmanship.

The Savonnerie du Midi is also engaged in local development through the PaQte program and recently revamped its site with support from regional and state funds. Its museum received the QUALITE TOURISME label for its high standards.

 

Product Description

Experience the power of Marseille soap in a convenient, ready-to-use formula! LA CORVETTE Liquid Marseille Soap Detergent is crafted from authentic Marseille soap shavings, traditionally cooked in a cauldron at our Marseille soap factory with 100% vegetable oils.

This detergent is fragrance-free, colorant-free, and sulfate-free, ensuring a pure and gentle clean.

 

Ingredients

 Aqua (water), Potassium olivate, D-pentose and D-glucose, oligomeric, C8-10- alkyl glycosides, Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm kernelate, Xanthan gum, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Sodium chloride, Sodium hydroxide, Kaolin.

 

Composition

5% or more but less than 15% soap, less than 5% non-ionic surfactants. Also contains: Water, thickener, sequestering agent, kaolin. 5-15% soap.

 

Caution

Causes severe eye irritation. Keep out of reach of children. In case of medical advice, keep container or label at hand. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to remove. Continue rinsing.

 

How to use

To respect the environment, run your washing machine at full load. Use low-temperature wash cycles and follow the dosage instructions.

Recommended dosage :

  • Lightly soiled laundry: 35ml
  • Dirty laundry: 50ml
  • Very dirty laundry: 65ml
